"Oh that knife."
Oct. 27th, 2005 02:45 amWorked the day shift today. Totally thrilling, of course, especially the part where I had to sprint for my bus downtown, which reminded me how freakishly out of shape I am by way of sharp stabbing pains in my head.
Did watch "The Net" and "The Shadow," though, which are both movies I adore and hadn't seen in years. I now want an icon from the latter with Alec Baldwin saying "I dreamt I tore off all the skin on my face and was someone else undernearth," and whoever plays his female lead saying "You have problems."
Damn that was a good exchange.
Amy picked me up and we watched half of "Batman Returns" and then finised "Pretear," having successfully predicted almost every major plot point in the show and figuring out the ending just about perfectly. We are winners.
In more work-related news, today was the first of an eight-day stretch of me working every single day and then I get all of one day off before doing it again. Don wants to have a murder mystery party Saturday night and I can't go because of work, and I'll hardly be able to spend any time with Vicky and Jenn because I have a book review to write for Monday. OH AND MAYBE I SHOULD DO MY GRAD SCHOOL APPS, HMM YES. Even with my horrific GRE scores *bangs head on wall*, I still have to get those in by Dec. 1.
And
liete's birthday present still isn't here, which concerns me.
Gotta write my fic for the olympics, but I think I'll do that tomorrow night after work. How did I get stuck cleaning the bathrooms twice in one week? Uuuugh.
