I may not end up making a long post about JESUS PASSOVER because I'm lazy as hell, so here are the salient points: the middle matzah (the afikomen) was related to Jesus, Passover itself was sort of branded as a foretelling of the coming of Jesus, and then they somehow managed to make the She'mah about Jesus which is the part where I really started making extreme faces of "WHAT?!". It was interesting, undoubtedly, and it meant a lot to Beth and her mom that we were there, but it was much more comforting to go to REAL PASSOVER last night.

And it was good. There was noise and boozles and foodzles. And now I begin a long, grainless week. I've started it by having this conversation:

[livejournal.com profile] maypirate: I have begun the koshering.
[livejournal.com profile] maypirate: My "sponge loaf" is...interesting.
[livejournal.com profile] jou: Is it okay? Not horrifying?
[livejournal.com profile] maypirate: It's not horrifying, it's just...
[livejournal.com profile] jou: spongey?
[livejournal.com profile] jou: like an undersea creature?
[livejournal.com profile] maypirate: It's like "oh yay, sponge cake! *mogumogu* ...something's...off."
[livejournal.com profile] jou: *laaaaaughs*

The best part is I do this over and over again. Every time I take a bite I'm like "MAYBE THIS TIME WILL BE BETTER. ...NOPE, STILL TASTES LIKE SUGARY SAND. *waits one minute* LET'S TRY IT AGAIN." Happy passover, Amber.

[livejournal.com profile] infinityduck is almost done with a hell week at work, and I'm really hoping the weather stops being disgusting before tomorrow when I get to drive to Milwaukee. And I should maybe call the dentist's office to scheduling the drillening.

...and I just fell for the sponge loaf again. Dammit.

Edit: Wargh, I just found out that my sponge loaf gets very stale very quickly! Blughugh! Everything is flies!
