Bad medicine

This morning I opened the most terrifying piece of mail I have ever received, which was a "Claim for Hospital Lien" from the women who got hurt in my accident. Apparently she was in the hospital for two weeks and it cost $23,066, which I, according to the paperwork "may be liable for."

...except that the accident WASN'T MY FAULT.

And also AAAUUUUUUUUGGGGH.

I immediately called my parents, of course, who said it's probably just paperwork that the hospital has to send out, and then my insurance company, who also said not to worry about it, but oh my god the horror. The horror.

And I can't help but think, kind of spitefully, that oh, now they seem to remember my name, but couldn't recall it to give their insurance company to pay for my car. Huh.

I am sorry she was so badly hurt. But I wasn't the one running the red light.

And now my head hurts. What a scary day, and it's not even 10. And then at 10 I have to open. Ajahgdksghk.

UGGGHHH. At least it sounds like that's nothing to actually worry about and hopefully she's okay now and their insurance will deal with it.

A saw an old man with a handicap sticker run through a red light (several seconds after it turned) while I was walking home from Whole Foods today. Luckily no one was there, but it's on an intersection on a hill and there's so much snow that there is NO WAY anyone would have seen him coming. Kinda freaked me out.

I'm pretty sure that's just a formality, but I'm also pretty sure it'd take ten seconds for you to fight it should it come down to that. Hint: you'll win.

Obviously I'm hoping that doesn't happen. ::hug::

Once the insurance company takes it over, you don't need to worry about it at all. That's what you pay them for. Still, getting something like that in the mail is bound to make your blood pressure sky rocket! ::pets:: Get a good snuggle in with the pigs, it will help, promise.
