One other thing...
Apr. 22nd, 2003 09:01 amI forgot to mention that I've been keeping Kosher for Passover, and my parents brought me lots of neat Kosher food mixes, most of which I can't make right now thanks to the damn water main. But, um, the point is that I think in an opposite situation to Bob's, not eating bread, and not eating any kind of grains at all has made my stomach unhappy again.
I'm no fan of Matzoh, so it's not like I'm crushed, but I spend most of the year just displaying my faith through my jewelry, so this is one of the things I try to do. Apparently Jewish Law allows for people with health problems to not go through with ritual, but I feel bad. I would keep doing it even though it makes me feel icky just because stopping makes me feel bad. I'm not sure what to do here, but I guess I'll at least have some rice later or something.
I'll still make my Kosher cookies once the water is better.
My mom actually said "Why do we let her do this? There's nothing for her to eat..."
Oh, yeah. I'm still with you in Rockland, though.
