It was so far from New York, so much farther than across a country on a different ocean, and it was so beautiful, so heart-crushingly beautiful and I wanted to just raise my arms to the perfect, perfect blue sky and melt into the streets, and just live inside it forever.

California.

I had a lovely time and I did lovely things, although I failed to find a computer case and a few days after I bought a new cell phone hanger it broke on a ride at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, but it was still fun. I saw my cousins and my aunts and my uncles and my grandparents and lived in California and got burned in the California sun and we went to the ocean and I looked out at it and said "I'm crossing you."

And far too soon.

I have completely lost track of time now, I shouldn't have been gone so long but I needed to be gone, and suddenly Vicky will leave in just days, we need to have a wedding, and then...So little time! How did this happen? How did it go so fast?

I barely remember how to speak the little Japanese I know, and I have to pack, and get my hair cut, and I won't even be in Madison that last night, I'll have to say my goodbyes in the afternoon and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh...

It's just too much for my brain to handle.

But I love California.

And I missed you guys too.

Good stuff, you are "Wedding? I love
weddings! Drinks all around." You're the
life of the party and nothing gets you down,
not even certain death at the hands of your
zombie nemesis or the Navy. Come to think of
it, realism isn't your strong suit...

Which one of Captain Jack Sparrow's bizarre sayings from Pirates of the Caribbean are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

I really need to see this again.
