I`d say the trip was pretty productive.

$200 later.

I bought a stuffed bird from "Spirited Away" and it is huggably soft.

I was one of two people in all of AKP to not get naked with everyone else. Any time is not naked time in my book, and plus my stomach hurt both times. So there. Also any time is not naked time, did I mention that? A hot shower is good enough for me.

I climbed hundreds of steps and was forced into buying a shirt that was too big due to a hyper saleswoman and a language barrier. What if I never get over it?

For a study in contrasts, see my reaction to the Hiroshim Museum vs. Cone`s. She was unable to speak. In the middle of the museum, while watching a video of cells metasticize, I shrieked "Cancer is terrifying!" and a Japanese woman laughed at me. It`s a strange feeling to compare 100,000 to six million and come out on the other side feeling nothing.

Maybe it`s just too much to comprehend.

The monkeys that were supposed to be at the Miyajima Monkey Park were not there, sadly, but there was a magical dog that led us home when we hiked down the wrong side of the mountain and barely made it back to the ferry. Nature has never been so fine.

I have opted to read the rest of Kenshin, and by read, I mean crash through in mangled comprehension.

I made myself a ham sandwich for lunch today. Hallelujah, I`m comin` home.

And I finally, finally spoke to Don, and lo, it was amazing. And wonderful. And amazingly wonderful.

If only phone lines were cheaper.
