If gravity let us go...
Dec. 3rd, 2003 01:50 pmI`m sitting in a laptop lab, under the guise of doing work for my Joint Seminar group presentation tomorrow.
Okay, so I guess we are actually doing work, in that we`re working on our power point, which right now consists of Masari trying to draw a marijuana leaf for the part on Rastafarianism.
Too bad none of us are high school boys or something...
And that Pairaka went away and Don is watching 24!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Ah, well.
My stomach was hurting in more unpleasant than usual ways yesterday, so I got no paper work done, but at least I did my homework. I was also having crosses between feeling like I wasn`t eating enough and certain I was eating too much, and it`s time to go home.
And I need a haircut like burning.
I think I`m going to ask Aki to see Last Samurai with me this weekend. And there`s another InuYasha movie coming out on the 5th or the 20th. I will see it soon or after I get back.
And I had a zany dream, the details of which I forgot, and oh yeah, I went to Tokyo.
東京!!! 東!! 京!! 東京!!!!
The trip was half amazing, half irritating, and all raining. I did get some serious shopping done, and even came back with $100!!! And Akihabara and Shibuya stole my heart. Cultural centers be damned, I am clearly meant for no culture and shiny. I want to go back. I also ate Chinese food for the first time in months and spent several hours talking with Megan, Reid, in Kevin in a dorm-sized room, so it felt very pleasantly college. And the Nozomi Shinkansen was fabulous.
..I realized that in Eva, Hikari and her sisters -Kodama and Nozomi- all have the same names as the Shinkansen models. Coincidence? I think not! I just don`t know on which end.
Anyway, I suppose I should help my group now, but Suzie is also doing online journal stuff so I don`t feel so bad.
Oh, and I bought a trendy Japanese sweater yesterday.
G-d help the wicked.
