I had muchly intended to make this post Monday morning, but then LJ was down and I spent a lot of time wibbling to myself over that fact because I have needs. I have needs.

Here's that list thing I seem to do at the beginning of the week:

-Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] jou and I drove down to Illinois to retrieve [livejournal.com profile] timbean from the Navy, and failed hardcore at navigation when we both utterly missed a sign for our exit and so drove at least 20 miles out of the way if not more. I have now been to Wauconda, IL. Let us never go back. But once we had captured our quarry, we stopped at Mitsuwa and ate weirdo Japanized burgers, bought amazing books and pens pertaining to our varied interests, then we spent most of the weekend sitting in front of the TV eating and talking with [livejournal.com profile] sail_aweigh. It was awesome, although we had to return Tim far too soon. The drive back on Sunday night involved constant lightning, but we missed all the terrible weather.

-In a post car-trip induced tired stupor, I checked out the [livejournal.com profile] madokamagica friending meme, where I proceeded to be the oldest person there, and one of few people who didn't have a predominantly anime-related list of fandoms. But I did meet threeish people so far! HELLO NEW FRIENDS. Let us all mogu.

-VOTING. Hopefully Wisconsin will do it better this time.

-Team Monstrous gathered to watch [livejournal.com profile] infinityduck's band play a show at a nice venue and they sounded great. There was bopping and at one point the lead singer crawled off the stage rolled around on the floor. Good times. Then we went to Perkins and I ate a fabulous omelet. Yes.

-However in tragic news, I'm pretty sure I need some major dental work, as evidenced by the fact that I felt a stinging sensation in my gums on one side of my mouth, and when I checked it out, my furthest back molar was exhibiting evil. So that's gonna be awesome. I need to find a provider that will hook up properly with my new insurance and urgh. ...and now my mom knows too. I'm sorry mom, I promise I brush my teeth! ;_;

-Uh...yesterday morning I wasn't sure what to read on the bus, so I started "The Corpus," by Hippocrates, like you do. What, no one else keeps 2500 year old medical literature on hand? You're kidding me.

I haven't posted a picture of a guinea pig (with or without a hat) in like two weeks.

And the world was as it should be. Off to work.
