Sweet and Low Down
Sep. 16th, 2003 01:40 pmMy weekend was indeed a weekend full of existing, albeit without precious precious net connection.
Friday afternoon my history class went to a tea house in Gion. Or maybe it was more than tea, since they gave us more than tea. Anyway, food was consumed. Pictures were taken. And then some people and I walked around Gion for a while before wandering back to Shijo where the rest of the evening was spent...doin`...stuff. Then I went home.
Saturday I felt icky, so I slept in, and then I got up, and still felt icky, so I went back to sleep. Then I tidied up my room and basically did quiet things, and that was good.
Sunday I went to Shijo, assuming Cone or Andy would contact me but no, no. I found all the doujinshi stores, but I have to say, I mean...I don`t get it! I couldn`t find what Chenya wanted and I couldn`t even find what I wanted! I found a Lina/Gourry book in one place, but...where do the people who sell these things online get them?! Anyway, so I walked around alone until Carmen invited me to Arashiyama with her host parents. So I met them in Katsura and we went together and walked around and it was beautiful and not too hot and amazing! And pritty. Like flowers. We went to the gardens around Tenryuuji Buddhist temple, and on the way back I bought handkerchiefs for my host mom and sister and a little owl for my host dad.
Monday was a national holiday, so there was no class, and I went on a bus trip with my family. It stopped at a whole bunch of places: Tamba Winery, Amanohashidate, Genbudou and Seiryudoo (which are these awesome cave-like places), a bag store, Kinosaki Onsen, and Izushi. There was also a boat ride and lots of food thrown in there, and I used too much film and spent too much money and I couldn`t resist buying a bag that said VIOLENT: World Sports on it.
Rock.
So yeah. I didn`T start doing homework until 10*30 and I wish I had a bigger pillow.
And the internet. I`ll always wish for that.
