All the way back to Nebraska
Aug. 14th, 2008 10:06 amAnd so my odd vacation came and went.
I successfully read two books, rode in a lot of different cars, sunburned my face, tragically lost both Al representations on my bag (including the special button from
cryogenia ;_;) and got three somewhat Nebraska/cowgirl themed upper body wearables. And some coyote faces. Also I saw my cousins. I like seeing my cousins. I like that very much. They want me to live in California with them. I would like that too. Someday, maybe. Although I missed Otakon, it was a good trip.
Sadly, my mom came down with some sort of horrific leg pain starting Thursday and it only got worse. She was in so much pain she was having trouble walking, so my parents canceled their trip to New Mexico and headed back on Sunday (I stayed and flew back Tuesday). They both feel it was the right decision but were very disappointed and I'm sad for them because New Mexico is their special happy place and they had a lot of things planned.
But at least my mom was at the interment service for my grandfather's ashes, which was most important. And now both my grandparents are home.
I've started my "new" position of being third in command at work and uhhh...day two of working in back and I've already run out of things to do. I guess it's back to spot cleaning the floor? It's like I never left!
And the girl I talked to last...uhhh...week was it? I can't remember, anyway, the girl I met regarding being roommates found some other place to live that has covered parking. Or so she says. It could also be that that's a nice way of saying "GOOD LORD I DON'T WANT TO LIVE WITH YOU." Oh so alone. Soooo aloooone.
If someone could please send
decken money so she could live with me, that would be great. Thanks.

She's seeing a physical therapist person, fear not!
