maypirateI apologize to anyone who might have been looking for me online the past few days, or indeed, for a few days in the future. The past two days I have passed out early, and I think today I will finally move Oni and I into my apartment. Alas, we have no internet because I'm a bum, but I really will call the people who provide such a service today.

homoshiroi and my long-lost Kevin from Japan, and they made me very happy.
I was also tagged byyawmin, so here is a meme for you. Some of my newly acquired friends may find exciting things about me! Or not! Who knows!

1. What are your nicknames?
Generally May, and derivations thereof such as Mayface, Maycakes, and Maybee (although onlynymeria uses the last one). homoshiroi has been known to call me "Burr-ann" and I often respond to "Hey you, jerk!"
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Uhh...that's hard to judge, since often bedtime occurs when I fall the hell asleep on any given horizontal surface. But if I'm on track, I brush my teeth, wash my face, put on pajamas, and, if I'm online, sign off. Sometimes I read.
3. What fandom(s) are you most into at the moment?
Aidanverse. Alsuka is always part of my heart. Possibly Dark Knight on some weird cosmic level that I don't really want to think about. And I am always interested in the Prestige. I am currently pursuing a potential fandom courtship dance with the manga "Noble Detective Edward."
4.What is your favorite scent?
Japan (no seriously, it has a smell), California, the candle Don's mom gave me a while back, clean guinea pig
5. What videogames are you playing at the moment?
None, sadly. ;_; But when I get my PS2 hooked back up I'll probably play Odin Sphere again. If I ever acquire a DS, I might play Children of Mana.
6. What do you eat the most?
Poptarts, ham and cheese sandwiches, apples, Pepsi products.
7. Do you trust easily?
I'm not sure how to answer. Because on a basic level, yes, pretty easily, but then there are apparently weird subconscious trust-levels that sometimes come into play in particular situations.

Slayers <3
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
My friends having a hard time with life issues and money and things, my non-stop allergies, my sucky roommate search.
10. Do you have a good body-image?
Sometimes. Right now my face is covered in breakout horror so uhhh...no.

I saw this meme going around and I was actually really hoping I'd be tagged. :)
12. What websites do you visit daily?
LJ, Gmail, Dragonfangirl's friends page, which links to fandom_wank and all of its spinoffs. Usually IMDB too.
13. what city, country would you most want to live in if not where you are now?
Somewhere in the Bay Area. Maybe even Castro Valley, I've become sort of fond of it. I have no illusions about how expensive it would be to live in San Fransisco or Berkeley, but I mean... that would be impossible to pass up.
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
One of the most awesome and wonderful people I ever had the good fortune to meet and not terrify away with my great love. She is talented, thoughtful, smart, consistently funny, and a very good friend. I wish I could see her more often.
15. What’s the last song that got stuck in your head?
Uhhh...something like "and that's what you get something something something you can never get her out of your head..." The words seemed appropriate but I can't remember the name of the song.
16. What’s your favorite item of clothing?
Likeyawmin, I too have a great attraction to hoodies, usually of the navy blue variety. I love collecting interesting t-shirts.
17. What's better: to give or to receive?
I really love giving people things, but I won't pretend I don't enjoy finding things in the mail for me.
18. What would you do if you see $100 lying on the ground?
...I'd probably go into the nearest store and ask if anyone lost some money and then end up leaving it with them because otherwise the guilt would crush me.
19. What items could you not go without during the day?
Oni, laptop, a horizontal surface for lying on.
20. What should you be doing right now?
Showering. Maybe cleaning Oni's cage.
21. Do you always use conditioner when washing your hair?
What a bizarre final question. Most of the time, but some days I give my hair a break.
