Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] harukaceles met Laura, and can therefore vouch for her existence and humanity. We went to a stupidly expensive Mexican restaurant and then were sent to find a BluRay movie to watch on Amy's new device. We ended up with "Edward Scissorhands" because when Laura found out I hadn't seen it, she shrieked at me. And the people I worked with shrieked at me. And then some customers. I didn't know it was such a stigma. ;_;

It was a fine movie and I couldn't tell any difference in BluRay quality. And apparently I'm abnormal for thinking everyone should have seen "It's a Wonderful Life" but if you haven't, what happened, did you not watch TV in December in the 80's?

Today has gone by relatively fast, which is nice, since yesterday dragged like a dead cow. I have been both thrilled by cute pictures of guinea pigs and mildly disappointed by someone I met on a friending meme recently cutting me quite suddenly because apparently I didn't comment on every entry she made whatever. Well fine. I didn't want to hear about "Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles" anyway.

I also watched an 3-part documentary series on 19th century Chicago.

This is my life without internet. I do use it sneakily at work, as you may have guessed, and not so sneakily when I'm on break (like I am now) but it's not the same. Oh. Oh it is not.

The writer's block for today says: Today in 1993, The X-Files first premiered. What's your favorite episode?

Dear X-Files, you are still the show of my heart and you always will be and I love you forever and ever and ever. Happy birthday. They dun make shows like you anymore. Oh wait. They tried. It's called "Fringe" and it's an abomination.

And my favorite episodes are "Redux" and "Redux II" and they have never ceased to be beautiful go watch them now maybe if you want. Or perhaps I will do it for you.

My Ultimate X-Files Guide if anyone is really bored.
