Nickery-noo and Livvy too

Today I've had the girls for one month!

I made the huge faux pas of leaving my bedroom and coming back in without guinea pig fuudz and then attempting to hold them. They expressed their anger with spooky teeth-chattering and I was schooled. But hopefully they've now forgiven me as I have supplied them with lettuce and oranges. Because exciting news: they eat oranges!

I made them a vet appointment for next week just for checkups, and to make sure Nicky's eye is okay, and also because I'm paranoid at all times.

They're so different from Oni, and so different from each other, which is good and fascinating and bittersweet and exciting and they're my little girls. I hope they like their new home.



Pigs revealed!

Nicky has conquered this orange for Peru.



Olivia is shiny and black and secretive like midnight. Nicky's butt is omnipresent.



"We're pigs!" Nicky's chin gets green after she eats very wet veggies and then eventually it turns white again. I'm not sure how she does it.

Olivia is cozy in blankets where I specifically told her not to go.



Sleepy Nicky is sleepy. Or sleeping.



I know this is hard to see, but it is adorable pigsquish.


They're both napping right now and they look so comfy and...lazy...I just...zzzzzzzz...
