Wank on my guinea pig community never fails to entertain me because it is a GUINEA PIG community. On LJ. OH NO, I MUST FLOUNCE AWAY, how dare you tell me how to take care of my pigs! Good times were had by all except her. Or something. Anyway.

It's still today, despite daylight savings time's evil! I have not missed it yet!

day 13 → a fictional book



This book with this cover specifically... I don't know how many times I've read it. Maybe not as many as I think but it seems like a great deal and I love it. It's easy to read and beautiful and deep and free. It's my favorite of all her things that I've read.

And now I want to read it again.

Other highly fantastic options: In the Woods by Tana French; Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke; Little Fur Family by Margaret Wise Brown and Garth Williams (this was my most favorite book as a child and it's still on my shelf). ♥

I saw the wank - i wish people like that would learn to listen. I've made the mistake of not listening to that before, thinking I would know what was best. I lost my pet because of that, and I will never, ever, EVER forgive myself for that. I feel like a murderer. People have to learn the hard way sometimes :(

But you DID learn and now you know. I think we've all learned things like that the hard way - if I known when I was younger how I should have been taking care of my pigs, if I'd had my poor Fuzzball put down humanely so he didn't have to suffer after his surgery... These are things that happen, not out of evil or badness but because we don't know.

You are not a murderer and you know now and it won't happen again. And hopefully she'll eventually learn and no pigs will be harmed.
