Just to throw it out there: I keep seeing people talking about leaving LJ, and I am here, I will be here, I like it here. In case anyone was concerned.

It's approximately 8w37498239 degrees outside (yeah, with the "w" in there, w is a number now) and it's horrible and humid and I almost weep when I think about my childhood and teenagehood and later hoodness without AC. Thank god we have it now. Well, I mean, my parents have it in the house and I have it in my apartment. I think the pigs might have otherwise melted into little pitiful piles of fur.

And my scone isn't very good. It tastes kind of like a stale-ish muffin. This may be unrelated to the heat, but I will blame it anyway.

Things have occurred. [livejournal.com profile] infinityduck moved downtown and [livejournal.com profile] latenightarting assumed his space with [livejournal.com profile] jou and now we have to poke her with sticks until she becomes one of us. Or not. Sticks are optional I guess. Maybe just regular poking will suffice.

And in the realm of semi-implausible things that have occurred, I finished my [livejournal.com profile] help_japan fic. I'm kind of in shock about it. (My dad has yet to read it.)

Gravity (No Escaping). Pre-slash Kirk/Sulu, implied possible Kirk/McCoy, PG-13.

It's posted on my writing LJ, [livejournal.com profile] ohno_fairies, which I should maybe mention exists more, because in the past few months I've had people be like "...wait you have a writing LJ?" Yes. Yes I do. It has a terrible name that I think I want to change but am oddly attached to. Anyway, it exists, and there are things there.

Meanwhile, I remain the only person in the world who has no interest in X-Men: First Class because I grew up reading Archie comics and only watched the other movies initially under duress, and then because of Hugh Jackman. But it sounds like people are enjoying it and that's cool.

And uh...there's too much vanilla flavoring in my yerba mate latte. I really failed at breakfast today. Ah, well. :F

bew, I totally wanna see the new x-men. Even though there will be a sad, sad lack of Jackman. ;3;

We don't have AC and it's going to be 97 on Thursday. I don't feel good about that. But we survived the last 3 summers without AC so it would seem like defeat to get a window unit this year. I tried to get another fan window thing but they were sold out...hmm

I'm staying in LJ despite my failure to update as you and other fine people are here. So keep it up and I'll be here failing in the background and commenting!

Without spoiling anything, there's a moment in the movie that will make you very happy on that front.
