Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] pairaka, cuz it looked like fun!

The Rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview Me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions OR (new Amber rules) you can just comment back. Whatever is easier.
If you do post it in your LJ:
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post. ...AND THE CIRCLE WILL CONTINUE!!!

I feel stiff and sore in magical new ways. I wonder if it's from dancing? In any case, ow. Ow.

Cut out all the pieces of my Al coat last night, and started pining them together. I had a brief pity party with myself, sniffling as I pinned over how pathetic it was that I wasn't perfect at sewing and couldn't automatically do this by myself. Aja's cosplay friends are daunting, and I have this coat of many colors that my mama made for me.

And then I got over myself.

...sort of.

Went to lunch and shopping for things with Bob and Amy yesterday. I got black pants and a bunch of patterns, and Bob, the gloves I picked were wrong! Oops.

I may be slooooowly making Elricest friends, but I think I still linger on the outskirts of the fandom. It's strange and foreign and a bit dauting and lonely. I should make a pie for it or something. If I could make pie. And if pie could be transferred over the internet. I'd like to post something I did last night, but I'm afraid I'll get poked at for talking too much, and also I don't want to take the chance of saying something and then not finishing it.

Lori made me be creative, and now she's like a wicked taskmaster. ;)p

I have some things to read, then back to pining, and maybe talking about Magic with Corin. Word.

I think Aja said she had some I could use. I'll take the other ones back to Mallat's, and maybe I'll trade them for a FASHION RING!!!

1. Did it ever make you upset when I was all "RAHRAHRAHRARHAHR I HATE JAPAN SO MUCH ALL THE TIME OH FUCK!" ?

2. Do you still want to think about living together?

3. Are you going to go away to mystical England after college like you said?

4. すももも桃も桃の一?

5.When do you want to ninja to Joel's and get the DVDs back and watch them?

1. No, because Japan does a lot of shit-ass things and often deserves to hate it. My liking it (though I certainly do not always) should not affect anyone else from expressing their blazing hatred of it. As long as they are not denying the fact that it may have some appeal to some people, and you never deny that. You even see the appeal!

2. Yes! We should look into that/discuss that/decide if that is what should be done/do that!

3. I have no idea what I am doing anymore, but I don't think I am going to try for the Rhodes Scholarship. If I tried for an England scholarship it would be Marshall. But really, no idea what I want to do right now. I am going to take Dutch! So I may try to do a summer internship there, but I may very likely do grad school or whatever after graduation in the US. But again, the answer is I don't know!

4. No, not quite. すももも桃も桃のうち. They are both within the category of peach, not both the one peach. But saying that is the fun shit woo woo!

5. When indeed! When you are not working and Joel is least expecting it? Or most likely to be there... Some evening or day in the near future!! Tell me your plans! I have a cell phone now! WOOO!

Interview me.

Date: 2005-08-06 06:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] maypirate.livejournal.com
1. How did you pick your daughters' names?

2. What did you study in college?

3. What was your first impression/impressions of me, way back when I e-mailed you for "Moondance," and then kept responding to your replies?

4. Hey guys, you look great. Have you found any new hobbies?

5. Is there anyone in the House that you really dislike/wouldn't mind seeing gone? (And no, you may not say Pairaka or Gaav)

Date: 2005-08-06 06:08 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] pairaka.livejournal.com
1. Uh... I really don't remember. I know we picked Kaitlynn's because we wanted something different, but we also wanted a different spelling. We found out later (when we went to Ireland) that pronouncing it "Katelynn" is the Anglicized way to say it. "Caitlin" is actually pronouced closer to "Catchleen." Amanda was chosen because I liked it and Elizabeth because I wanted a girl named "Beth" but Bill wouldn't let me name her just Beth or Bethany.

2. Animal Science/Pre-vet. Never did finish up the Vet stuff. I wish now that I'd paid more attention to the humanities courses.

3. It's hard to separate the first impressions from things now, but I seem to remember being extremely tickled that you kept writing back and that you wanted to read my fics. And that after just a little bit it was taking me more than an hour to answer our emails. But as for my impressions of you, they were that you were an incredibly intelligent, well-spoken, mature young woman, someone that I knew I was going to like. :)

4. Yes, you, too, can master the art of Sleep Typing... thunks head on keyboard What's so funny about that is that line is straight out of an episode of Buffy.

5. Hmmm... those alien squirrels kind of creep me out... But other than that, really I can't think of anyone who I really dislike enough to see them gone...

Today was my day for a pity party, mainly consisting of "I'm fat, ugly and worthless. Why would anyone want to talk to me." And then I did the smart thing and went for a five mile (or so) bike ride and I'm feeling somewhat better now.

Also, Interview me, baby!

Why would you ever think that? You are not allowed to think that ever again!

1. What is your most favoritest food ever?

2. What happened to you and Weiss Kreuz? I mean, you and Omi seemed to really be close for a while there...;)

3. Do you remember the story that we set fire to?

4. Charcoal goddess? :)

5. Have you ever mentioned that night on the beach to Ryan? Heh heh heh...

1. I think that one is kind of difficult to answer because I like a number of things a lot but I can't think of one specific meal that is my favorite that I might, say, want for my last meal before execution. People seem weirded out by my love of black olives at work, though!

2. I guess I just kind of moved on, though I have been half-heartedly thinking that I should bring some Omi-ish type clothing to Iowa and run around finding other Weiss people and shout out "Aya-kun! YOUji-kun!" and so forth. People wouldn't know who I was though, and that's something I'm hoping to avoid this time around.

3. Oh yes, I do remember that. The second skin and ugggh.... That was a happy burning though!

4. Ahh art class. With Mark Phillips. And Charcoal goddess!

5. I don't believe I have. I don't know if he suspects anything of us...we're doing so well at keeping our love a secret, like Elliot and Olivia! Speaking of which, the newest TV Guide had an interview with them and one of the headlines on the cover was "Fans want us together, bad!" I don't know if them being together is as important as the fact that the love they have for each other is there.

Hmmmm...

Hmmmmmmm...

1. What is your least favorite pairing(s) in the history of the world? Like the ones that make you want to destroy everything beautiful.

2. You really consider me a dear friend? *_*

3. Should I address packages to you as Aja Moore or Aja Moore-Young?

4. Aside from going to a concert or seven and shopping in Harajuku, what do you most want to do in Japan?

5. When/where/why did you pick up the name "Hikaru?"

1. What is your least favorite pairing(s) in the history of the world? Like the ones that make you want to destroy everything beautiful.
Kyo/Tohru from Furuba - I don't care if it's fucking cannon, he doesn't deserve her. And Shigure/Akito, also from Furuba, just because. There are a crap load from RK as well, but I think I've expressed my distaste for them to you already. Basically, if it ain't cannon in RK, then I hate it T_T Save for Saitoh/Aoshi because it's fucking hillarious.

2. You really consider me a dear friend? *_*
No, noodlehead. It's all been lies. T_T *thwallups you*

3. Should I address packages to you as Aja Moore or Aja Moore-Young?
Either is fine. I prefer Moore because I don't normally use the -Young unless I'm at work or have to sign something offical.

4. Aside from going to a concert or seven and shopping in Harajuku, what do you most want to do in Japan?
It's an even toss up from playing videogames in Akihabara or seeing Shrines in general. Oh yes, and hang out by the high schools and try to pick me up some hawt bois.

5. When/where/why did you pick up the name "Hikaru?"
Magic Knight Rayearth. Other than Sailor Moon, Rayearth was my first fandom. And the character of Hikaru was SO like me, I took on her name for online activities. That was back in middle school, and the name has just stuck.

But scary! Scary and full of intimidating!

And it's not done yet. I'm horribly superstitious and I don't want to take the chance of posting something that won't get finished.

Have some pie instead?

In all my lateness... interview me?

From: [identity profile] maypirate.livejournal.com
Anytime, darling. :)

1. How exactly did you get into anime/fanfiction-type things? I'm not sure I really know...

2. What made you decide to pick me as your beta rather than, oh, I don't know, a tree frog?

3. Are you fond of poetry at all?

4. Do you hold up well under flying physical assaults?

5. If there's one thing I could write/do/say that would make you very happy, what would it be?

Date: 2005-08-06 07:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] western-ink.livejournal.com
1.) Sailor Moon, Toonami, and nothing to do in my afternoons. I don't remember how I got involved in fanfiction only that it was years ago, it was probably an accident. My first fandom was Sailor Moon though, I look back on those writings and shudder mightily.

2.) Tree frogs lack use of the human language most notably. But honestly I like you. I liked you from the very first email I got from you, I was delighted and charmed and that happens extremely rarely as half the time I don't reply and then forget.

3.) Once upon a time I wrote poetry, but then I think I outgrew it. I do actually like it but I don't go looking for it most times unless I need it for a greater purpose.

4.) I have 4 brothers. I think I've grown up being tackled randomly so I think I would survive it.

5.) That's a difficult and tricky question... you could say to me. "Yes, I agree. 'Taiko' was an interesting an unique piece and I shall appreciate it as such.'" Or you could agree with my former statement that you are the shiny apple in our fruit bowl. ^_^
