maypirateSitting in one of the UW libraries, where I've been since 11:30 this morning.
However, I have been largely unconscious most of the time, as I am wont to be in libraries. At school, this was not a problem, but it is here because oops, I'm a moron and I work at five, and oops, I have a paper due on Monday, and oops, it shouldn't be hard but I can't seem to focus.
My stomach feels bizarre, I think I'm getting pre-cramp cramps, which are fabulous, really, as if I didn't already have enough fun with just one bout of horrific brain-killing cramps every month. You know those people who will say that going on the pill helped them not have cramps no more? THEY ARE LIARS OR FUCKING LUCKY BECAUSE FOUR YEARS LATER THERE IS STILL SUCH PAIN.
Something I also find ironic: I kept dreaming about taking notes in my paper, and writing things down, and drawing conclusions, except oops, THAT WAS A DREAM, and I've still accomplished nothing.

western_ink's journal made me realize how much I'll never get to talk to her ever again, and reading sake_butterfly's on her fun new FFVII book made me realize how totally lame my doujinshi purchases were, to the point where I could only be like "Oh yay" when they came. I made some bad calls, and now I'm out $20 for it. Gooooo meeeeee. This is what eBay is for, I guess.
Pity/pain party in the library! If you'd like to join me, I'm on the third floor in the "quiet study room" across from books like "Animals with Human Faces" and "Our Vampires, Ourselves."

Date: 2005-10-15 10:05 pm (UTC)Were you in Memorial Library? I always go to the Fourth Floor where they have a quiet study area that is also the East Asian Reading Room. So you get to stare at books about...Tale of Genji! And things in Thai! I find it to be one of the least crowded places (at leas during the day).
I know all about the pre-monthly stomach sucking. And suck it does. I will never know your skull-fucking (we haven't used that phrase in a while...perhaps I should have said "reaving") cramps, but I can sympathize with the stomach problems.

Date: 2005-10-16 12:56 am (UTC)Doujinshi, I've found when I purchase online, I'm really excited about, and then by the time it gets here, I'm like, "Dude, why did I buy this?"-- so I can completely understand what you are saying. At least you can READ the doujin. I look through the FFVII book, and go, "Wow, pretty pictures. HEY I CAN READ THAT KANJI SYMBOL! Too bad I can't read the 34367643286463 others!!" So yeah -_-;;
Oh, btw, I was talking to the Z today, and I mentioned my trip in March. She wants to come along too! I told her I would talk to you about it.

Y'allz might have to sleep together, but I don't think you'd mind. ;)p Or maybe, if I'm lucky, by then I'll be able to afford my own place, and then we can run wildly amok at all times.
