I fail at the internet on weekends.

Just realized I'll be missing Iron Het this afternoon, and I shake my fist at the job that demands my attention every minute of every day, aaargh. I had to get up early so I could learn how to open today, because one of our full-time people is quitting due to stress, and SURPRISE, who can pick up the slack but ME?

Not to mention that I have to find some time in the next two days to finish all of my applications, and that I'll be working all day Tuesday and probably seeing Don Tuesday night, and oh, I have class tomorrow morning and then I work at night, which leaves me a window of about six hours, and then if I stay up all of Tuesday night...

And then FOUR DAYS without the internet oh no.

AAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

And there's a glitch in the UW computer systems, so I can't get to the readings for my seminar tomorrow. YAY.

Best of luck to all those involved in Iron Het, hoping to high heaven that at some point before I go I'll manage to write three words of something.

EDIT: While everyone and their cousin saw "Goblet of Fire," we watched "Chamber of Secrets" at work yesterday, three years after I was supposed to see it with Rebecca (I really miss Rebecca). Reasons why LotR is better:

1- Better spiders
2- No toilet humor (literal or otherwise)
3- No slug barfing
4- No slug barfing

But then again, my allegiances are well known. ;) I'd kind of like to see GOF because it just looks kind of pretty, but I should probably save my money to see "Goodnight and Good Luck." And for holiday gift-giving. And things. Oh...things.

You need to see GOF because Cedric looks like Don. I kid you not. Like a really, really pretty Don. Not that Don's not pretty. Also it was really good and you'd probably enjoy it. Even if not as much as LOTR. LOTR is inherently better, but HP is still good.

And I hope you get things done! And I wish you'd be here for Wednesday because oh god! Sniff!

Also, perhaps you already got it, but I recommend the Safest Place to Hide video. Ohh the Backstreet Boys. It's the same people who did My World so it's decent. It has a nice slow version of Logan the Predator luring her in with his sweater.

And slug barfing is...awful. I hate that scene. And did it have to be Ron? I love Ron. But Lockheart makes that movie.

Also grrrr at userpics! I've been trying to upload pictures for days and haven't been able to because of insane errors. And today they uploaded after four tries but made up new errors about lacking keywords, even though they had keywords and it deleted them and won't let me put new ones up so I can't use them. The End.
