Like the sweet song of the choir
Aug. 4th, 2005 11:25 amI..uh...asked a question on
elricest about what to do with my hair for Otakon, and I've been bombarded with people who think I should cut it/bleach it/wig it, and now I'm thinking "OH GOD WHY DID I ASK?"
Several people have suggested that elitist cosplayers will reject me if my hair doesn't go with my costume. And while I'm not really doing it for any sort of award or fancy-ness factor, now I feel like I have to be supremely impressive.
I've been considering cutting my hair Al-style, but people keep making faces when I suggest that. Faces that say "UGH! YOU'D LOOK DISGUSTING!" Also, Vicky and Don both agree that I would look particularly dyke-y. And that working at Four Star wouldn't help.
So now I don't know what to do, and I really need a hair cut of some kind...I'm not cut out for the world of high-class cosplay! I should stick to doing characters I look like. I should be Selphie forever.
Nevertheless, going shopping with Bob and Amy to get stuff for Al and Michael.
Needs:
-Al gloves
-Al pants
-Michael greens
-Michael shirt
-red tie
-patterns - vest, shorts, Al shirt
-transfer paper
-Lydia
I should write that down.
Went swing dancing with Vicky last night, which was neat, although I wish that I was magically gifted for things like that. The really good dancers looked like they were having so much fun... It gave me terrible story ideas, which Lori is pressuring me to do. I'm not caving to your peer pressure, Lori! At least not for the next...fifteen minutes.
I'm-a go down to Four Star to return "Bride and Prejudice: The Horror" and pay more late fees. I love paying late fees to my job. I'm just that cool.
Note to self: still need more Al icons, STILL NEED MORE AL ICONS.
Also: DECKEN! I got Don's "Firefly," so we can watch it whenever. :)
