You don't have to be wrong for me to be right

I was not eaten by tornadoes Saturday night, and because the watches were lifted, Oni and I slept in our room as usual. Yesterday there were about 37 feet of rain, but the basement remained unflooded, and so all is pretty much well.

My parents returned from Turkey last night and were summarily drenched, then my mom exhibited their treasures while my dad passed out on the couch. They brought me a number of evil eyes and an "Amber" scented soap which is actually the most amazingly good Amber-scented thing I've ever smelled. I wish it was food so I could eat it.

Next week my mom is going out to California to drive my grandparents' car back, and at that point the blue Honda, "Car," will officially become mine. Now if only I had somewhere to park it that wasn't my parents' driveway. Ah, well.

...anyone thinking about moving to Madison who needs a roommate somewhere? Well, 1.5 roommates? Oni is very soft, and we are both capable of being very quiet. I think I'm ultimately going to have to look on Craigslist, but I'm so paranoid about ending up with a deranged murderer.

And in conclusion, I'm not sure I like having Mondays off. It makes the week start out weird.
