Strudelganger
Mar. 17th, 2010 08:47 amI'll...catch up on that 30 day thing later. Things have been going and doing and uhhh! Busytown! Gay alien hamsters! You know how it goes!
Monday it was ridiculous and lovely, so
infinityduck and I took a long and pretty walk out to Pinic Point. Sadly, ever since then my shins have been hurting from my durn shin splits and my shoes perpetually have mud in them. I really need new shoes.
Tomorrow in the very early morning, we're going down to Nashville (which I assume looks exactly like that all the time everywhere) to see his parents and friends. He hasn't been home since he moved up here last summer, and ideally it will be a calming adventure of hanging out. We're gonna watch all of LotR at least one day, and maybe make some papertoys and uh...you know. Be awesome. I wanted to go to Graceland like Mulder, but apparently it's too far, so he promised we'd go some other time.
I admit I'm a bit nervous about seeing his parents again, although they liked me the first time. And I have this endless feeling that there's something I need to be doing, something important I'm forgetting...although I feel that way all the time, so that's not really new. Mostly I'm just worried about how completely much I won't want to go back to work after being away from it for 5 days. :F
So in conclusion, Tennessee! I've been to Knoxville (to see
pairaka, oh my Paipai-sama, where are you? ;_;) but this will be exciting and different. But oh god I have so much to do first.
caffeaffogato: everything I've learned about the south indicates that you will meet terrifying monsters there
( No offense is meant to the south, but all we know we learned from movies. )
And oh! Happy St. Patrick's Day, if you are so inclined or perhaps just like green! When I was a kid, and because of "Foxtrot," I used to take sponges to school on the precedent that if someone wasn't wearing green, they got hit with a wet sponge. This morning I just had a donut with shamrock sprinkles. It was appropriately celebratory and enough.
