maypirateHad my garage sale today. It went pretty well. I sold all my Breyer horses and some beads and books and old earrings from Nathan (bleh) and my Sailor Moon tapes...it was good! Then Bob and Jack and I took a bunch of books to Frugal Muse and they didn't take all of them but I did get $30. I'm down with that.
Corin, Alex, Jack and I saw "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" last night and it was not good. Okay, Alex thought it was good, but the rest of us thought it was very bad. The sets at the beginning looked like crap, the storyline was jumpy, continuity was lousy, it was predictable, the one-liners were...well icky, and it wasn't even that much fun. I think my biggest problem, though, was Capt. Nemo's pseudo-submarine that wasn't so much as submarine as AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER THAT THEY PUT UNDERWATER. They also DROVE IT THROUGH THE CANALS OF VENICE.
NOT OKAY.
I want those $8 of my life back.
Anyway, not much else. Bob and I failed to summon Jake to fix her network and I fell asleep. I also started reading "The Little Friend" and I like it, even though it makes me feel strange in the fading light of a lovely day. There's an undercurrent of darkness in everything, even the moments that aren't particularly dangerous. Anyway, I think it's good.
I also do not have to go to work tomorrow, and I am pleased. If I'd gotten things together, maybe we could have gone to the Dells. Oh well, perhaps next weekend...
Too bad Beth and I never finished Pi. Ah well...Oh, also:

going on. as usual. this carrot may have won
