Superfluous habits

maypirateIn my reading, I have across the following salient question which I think we all need to ask ourselves:
"Can we go plainer in Clothes, lay by our Laces, Ribbons, gaudy Flowers, and that most trifling of all Things, GAUZE[?]"
The best part is that GAUZE!!!!! was already capitalized in the original article from 17-whatever. Ah, the small hilarities of learning.
Today I feel less like "death warmed over" and more like "death set out on the counter to thaw then forgotten for about eight weeks." Blelagdjsgsgkh. There is no food in the history of time that sounds appealing to me at this moment.
And where is everyone? It's so quiet in here!
Edit: Oh Jesus Christ, there's this woman visiting my boss, and she's talking about Japan and the Japanese... and it's completely boneheaded. She honestly said that you'll only ever see two English words in Tokyo (asukfhskdj~?!??~?!) and she was talking about walking around going "Where's Godzilla?" and people had no idea what she was talking about and I am so angry I want to throw the phone at her.
Uhgdfukhgfkdgkdjhgkddk SHUT UP SHUT UP YOU ARE MISINFORMED AND FAILURE!
