"Like a parasite, but in reverse!"
Nov. 5th, 2007 01:19 pmI had a Nekocon. It was good.
I enjoyed the shiny comforts of the lovely Embassy Hotel and the company of many fine individuals and goddamn it was just nice to be far enough from school to be removed but close enough to not feel like I was overstretched, and to actually be away from my computer and the internet for 48 hours and just kind of chill. I got a lot of sewing done, which made me happy, hung out for a while with
bettinamarie (who draws My Cat Loki which is awesome), and of course spent the money like I do, but not too exorbitantly or on too many frivolities. Mostly.
Acquisitions include:
-3 new Asuka figures for my Asuka Horde (including one that has her wearing headphones which makes me auidvfhadkgfaisugfaisufkahflk)
-1 Asuka cellphone hangy from the new Puchie Eva School Doohickey
-a new pair of house slippers with the Monokuro Boo square pigs
-an ANGEL HAT.
Here is a picture of the ANGEL HAT as modeled by a souless, faceless automaton:

And here is me!

This picture does not do my ANGEL HAT justice, but oh, how I love it and its dangly arms and little hands. Yes I know Eva is 10 years old and they're still milking it for cash, I LOVE IT ANYWAY. The hat will soon decorate the headrest of my car's passenger seat and will make people cringe with awe. With AWE. You heard me.
Sadly, I seem to have picked up some kind of chronic narcoleptic condition, as I got home around 8 last night and promptly went to bed until required to rise for work this morning. I have so much to do, but I may have to spend the rest of today catching up on sleep and putting away laundry as the first steps to the bi-weekly ordering of my life.
Oh, and if you could, keep
dark_reaction and her mom in your thoughts? They were in a bad car accident over the weekend, and suffered a lot of injuries. I'm sure she'd appreciate it very much. ♥
