Where are she gone to?
Apologies to anyone who noticed/was distressed by my absence - apparently being at home makes me forget how to use technology that isn't the DVD, and also I crippled my wrists on a fake guitar. To elaborate, here is a brief (and potentially boring but you know you want to read it!!!) summary of my comings and goings for the past week.
Tuesday - One stupidly early flight and bus trip later, I arrived home. Visited ONI THE BEAUTIFUL before returning home, where I think I fell asleep.
monkeybobert came over and we watched House together, in real-time, and for the second week in a row I rather enjoyed it, despite the profound lack of Chase. Afterwards, we reclaimed ONI THE PRINCESS, and so it was good.
Wednesday - I meant to do work. Instead I ended up reading my FFI book, and then
donburi, who had the day off, whisked me away to a magical wonderland of black spaghetti and playing Rock Band for like seven hours, where I learned I am a terrible drummer, and that my wrists will never work right ever again.
Thursday - Wartched the Macy's Parade, gave ONI THE MAGNIFICENT a bath because she did not smell like roses, spent some time with Speed Racer, went for a walk in the arboretum with my mom, enjoyed turkeyfood with my dad's resident English people (not to be confused with my English person,
nymeria), and eventually fell asleep on the couch forever.
Friday - Finished my book, waited around in the damn cold for a bus that didn't come, then hitched a ride downtown with
agamemnon183, where I visited ♥MY STORE♥ and rolled around and straightened movies and purchased "Rescue Dawn" and "The Royal Tennenbaums." David and I eventually met Don and
taciturn681514 for dinner, and then we watched the new most amazing thing ever:

This will forever be my Harry Potter canon. It is three hours of solid diamondgold. My life is better now for having been a part of it.
Saturday - Went back to ♥MY STORE♥ to see Adia, then to Borders where I tried to curb my terrible impulses to some avail, and then went to see some friends in an improv show with
weilide. I know that I will always be a sketch comedian at heart, but I have begun to consider attempting to join this group when I return home. I miss the siren song of the stage.
Sunday - Watched a little bit of House S2 with
monkeybobert, and then, with Don, we returned ONI MY PRECIOUS BABY to the Pfotenhaus, and I caught the bus back down to Chicago, where I did a lot of reading for one of my classes, hooray for me. I got back to VA at about 12:45 am, drove home, and promptly went flopsy into bed.
The end.
And so the short version is this: I like being at home. I got no work done. WIZARD PEOPLE, DEAR READERS.
Sadly, my trend of vanishing may continue for the next week or so, as the fact is that I have a metric fuckton of writing to do (and finish by Dec. 20). It is upwards of 60 pages for various classes, and as it turns out, the less I poke at my computer, the greater potential for me to get something (read: ANYTHING) done. But we'll see, as I have the willpower of a dead treesloth and the attention span to match.
I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving, or at least a lovely last week, and now you should all tell me what you've been up to, and what you're doing, and how you are. Or not. It's really up to you.
