It's highly possible that I'm about to destroy any credibility I have among a number of House fandom constituents by getting involved with (re: criticizing, if politely) one of the higher-ups in the Chase/Cameron community. But you know? I really think I'm okay with that. I wanted to say something, and I did.

I'll be sitting here dreaming of my own companion cube if anyone wants to yell at me.

Communities are nothing without the fic writers, and mods are less important than the big author and graphic names - people are interested because of the different ways fans can get creative, not the management. You will destroy your credibility when you produce crap fics (aka: never) and BASH people. I have no clue what's going on, but your credibility is safe. :)

Well it's on their ficjournal. Admittedly it's public, but I'm not on their flist. And it's less about the quality of the person's writing -which is a subject for another time- but their need for reviews as validation, more or less. And she said something that really bothered me, which was in essence that if you don't get many comments, no one likes your stuff.

Sometimes you just have a small audience for a small thing! D:

I don't know anything about Chase/Cameron shipper politics, but polite criticism is just that. Nothing to pitch a fit over if received. It's not like you're blindly spewing ZOMGHATE at anyone, right?

I was polite in what I said, but the person in question um...irks me. But I don't want to start a fight. I just hate review-mongering, especially when the writing is uhh... less than stellar.
