This morning I was trying to trim Oni's nails, right? And I thought I was doing okay but I got too close on one and I cut her! She squealed and I felt so terrible and it didn't bleed much but it was still my baby's blood on my finger and AAAUGH!

And then at work this woman was talking about the movie "Primer," which David and I saw, and I said I didn't understand it and Peter hadn't seen it and she started talking about it and I thought she was talking to him so I walked away to help someone at the counter but apparently she was trying to explain it to me and then said something like "I guess she didn't care..." to Peter and then left and now I feel horrible because now she thinks I'm rude (and I didn't care, but I wasn't trying to be rude!) and I keep thinking about that time I got told I make customers uncomfortable and I wish I could just work in the back forever because I'm horrible with people and just horrible in general and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh Primer. *snort* Do you know the director brags that you have to see it more than once in order to understand it? Sort of pretentious, if you ask me. I saw it and only understood some, but it fell way short of being entertaining enough for me to want to see it again. :P YOU'RE NORMAL.

Meh, lots of people don't get the difference btwn 'sorry, just don't care' and outright rudeness. If she knew you better, she'd realize how awesome you are.

Also, poor Oni! But we know she still loves her mommy, and you will give her the bestest get better lovins ever.

My parents had the exact same mishap with me when I was a baby, and were just as mortified, and yet I turned out all right. No worries. ♥ I get the impression it's a common small accident with babies.

Poor Oni! But trust me, the pain is momentary and they forgive and forget quite quickly. But I know you still feel guilty about it. If I haven't already mentioned this, you should know that you can put a smidge of Bacitracin ointment on the toe to plug the wound.

Little Butt squirms and makes pitiful squeaky sounds the entire time, so it takes twice as long to cut his as it does the other two combined. Plus, with all the squirming, he gets cut accidentally the most. Even discounting the fact that Connor has that one foot with black toes, through which it is impossible to see the quick. =/

What do you use to trim? I just use a cheap-o human clipper.
