The snowstorm of ages is upon us, which, while unpleasant for driving and doing anything, is still better than the tornadoes that apparently kicked the hell out of the south last night. I'm actually very concerned about pairaka, because I know places near Knoxville got hit, and I haven't been able to reach her. I hope she's okay. ;_;

In attempting to fix something last night, my dad broked our internet. It still wasn't working this morning, but there was no way I was going to tell him that at 6:50 am when he was about to go shovel for the 4857943rd time this winter. Hopefully it will be working-ish tonight, but no promises. I am, of course, reporting this live from my break at work. I have to take the bus tonight too, and apparently they're running up to 20 minutes late, so that'll be its own adventure.

Aaaand uhhh...I lied about the photomeme. I feel inexplicably poorish, with throat-weird and things being hurty for no reason (although I guess I've been working with Adia and she hasn't been feeling well). The tea I had this morning tasted crazy and made my mouth feel all dried out and really I'm just whining because I don't know what's wrong and it's snowy and I want to go home.

And this apple kind of sucks.

We're fine. No major damage near us. We did, however, get pissloads of rain. Rain, and rain, and more rain.

Did I mention rain?

And of course I would have to get up early to take the girls to school. Fun. Not.

That ended up being the most anticlimactic storm warning ever here. It didn't even rain, and Decatur continues on in our phenomenally long drought.

Ugh, no snow, but it's been dumping rain on us for over a week! I have to park in a different spot so that I won't have to wade through a lake to get to/from my car. I miss outdoor recess.
