Happy belated birthday

inugrlrayn! I'm sorry I missed it - I saw Sky's note and then totally blanked out. I hope it was lovely and that the coming year -with your daughter and your wedding plans and everything- only gets even better. :)

While waiting to go dumpster diving with

monkeybobert and

decken yesterday, I tried my luck on a Christian Bale fan friending meme thing. I made two friends! Hello

leezh! Welcome! I'm not really horrible, but possibly more on fire than I let on. I'm glad to meet you. :)

And then we went dumpster diving which was really more walking along the curb and using half of a curtain rod to dig through things and see what was left. Because we didn't get out until nearly 7, most of the exciting stuff had been picked over and everything left was covered in flies. But we did have some degree of success and obtained

-5 brand new lightbulbs
-a dinner plate that's chipped on the underside, but I don't care
-a picture frame
-a vase
-2 metal coffee scoops, one of which was still wrapped in protective plastic
-cans of soda for 35 cents. (These came from a machine but we got them during the journey so they count)

There was a table at the house next to my store that I saw on Thursday, but when I went back to get it on Friday some jerk had broken it in the night. Also glimpsed on the way were about 7 other flower vases, a lacy red thong, 3 toilets, and about 15 mattresses. And a lot of liquor bottles.

Then we watched "Imagine Me & You" with

harukaceles which is a lovely and sweet movie and if you like gentle romantic comedies or British people or sudden lesbians, you should see it.

And today

cecilmcgrlybts is getting married. It will be crazy and something for sure. Of this I have no doubt.
