HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY zoechan! I wish I could have been there this year too, to hit things and eat food and do those things that we do when we're together. I haven't seen you in so long and I know you've got a lot going on these days but I hope this year is most excellent for you, and that someday we will meet again and enjoy the awesomeness that is your 26th year. ♥ (Christian Bale would like you to join him in the sexcar now.)

Saturday was my mom's 65th birthday. She and my dad went to see "Dark Knight," which my dad thought was excellent, and then we went to dinner. And then I fell asleep before I even ate cake because I'm a total failure.

On Sunday someone finally contacted me about my ad on roommates.com. HOORAY, thought I. And then a girl who had gotten the post that was sent out to the international student e-mail list responded. OH DEAR, thought I.

Because now I have two people and I will have to tell one of them no. I met the international student yesterday - she's from Indonesia and was totally adorable - and I'm meeting the other one this afternoon and unless she has some sort of glaring personality flaw I'm going to have that problem where I hollow myself out with guilt because I will have to turn someone down.

So it'll be an exciting evening I'm sure. I don't know if there's cake left. I hope there is. I'll need it.
