When pigs fly

I'm not really sure how to word this properly, but I wanted to thank everyone who talked to me about my worries Monday night, expressed concern for Oni and/or commented on her "recovery."

I know that in the scheme of things a guinea pig having her teeth planed isn't really a big deal, but she really is my baby, and I was terrified at how much weight she was losing. I also know that as someone who tends to get hyperbolic about everything, I can come off as a paranoid freak - which I am most of the time, but whatever- and it can be hard to judge if I'm accurately worrying about something, or making it up in my head.

I'm so grateful to everyone, and I'm sure Oni is too; she'd respond herself but she's busy playing with corn husks and also never types in my presence. Lately I've been struggling with a lot of quiet things, and it helped so much just to hear that there are people that care about me, and care about her, and care about us together because I love her so much.

So it's not great (I resized it badly and don't like my mouth) but here is a picture that I hope somehow conveys...something profound about Oni and I and how grateful I am.

Of course we're here for you! We want nothing more than for you to be happy. If the world's most adorable guinea pig is what makes you happy, than we want everything to be well with her.

You should put her in a hat and make a picture of that sometime. That book you have would have been worlds better had it featured Oni.

Fly, Oni, fly!! Very cute picture. Oni is the cutest pig ever so how could we want anything but the best for her? And you, though you are not a cute pig, you are an awesome person who deserves a healthy, happy, cute pig.

I'm glad to hear she's okay! And really, I don't think there's anything wrong with freaking out about her -- I love my Rei and the second she even squeaks funny I'm across the room in seconds to see what's up. Plus, piggies hide their problems VERY WELL. I'd be terrified.
