Let's face it, I'm tired
Oct. 21st, 2008 08:21 pmToday my boss kind of had and "oh riiiight" moment and gave me $20 store credit for doing two jobs the past two weeks.
And hey, it's something, so that was nice.
Also I was finally accepted into the Mad Men download community, which I was starting to doubt would actually occur, so huzzah to that too.
However, tonight my computer gave me a message I've never seen; that there was a problem with the cooling device and that I should turn it off immediately and take it in for servicing. Seeing that it's 5 years old and has been overheating for about two years now, I'm not sure much can be done.
But it does seem like I might finally need a new machine. Except I don't know how to transfer stuff like mozilla bookmarks and I like using windows but apparently Vista is Satan? And I can't find my portable hard drive, so that makes me more than a little nervous.
My home interwebs may now be limited, as there is palpable lag even as I type. Sigh of sighs. Now to figure out how I justify a thousand dollar purchase.

I haven't heard anything good about Vista yet except from one person and she's having problems with most of her hardware not being compatible.
You might be able to "downgrade" your system to Windows XP. It's worth a try.
