Whatever it is I think I see
Jan. 16th, 2009 03:30 pmSo "Milk" was quite good. I mean better than good it was lovely. And interesting and well-done and great. It made me want to do things, like hope and write and think about Aidan and Tom (even though Aidan would never call himself gay) and move to California and be a part of something and all sorts of stuff like that.
It's certainly the best movie I've seen recently; it's even suspenseful when you know what's going to happen, and surprisingly powerful. As well as heart-breaking and yeah. So that's my recommendation right there. My ass was kicked and/or slapped. And it made me want to watch beautiful, well-made movies again, and lately the thought of movies has been very "bleeh" so that's also something.
Prior to seeing the movie,
decken and I held guinea pigs, and then I got a cookie shaped like a T-rex and a mocha with which to watch the movie. I'm getting a little too addicted to the Sundance Theater.
But right now I'm actually kind of bummed because the guinea pig forum I frequent may just be too clique-y for me. I posted some pictures of the girls on a big picture thread and no one said anything about them, and no one reads their chronicle. Everyone seems to know each other and chat but I'm just sort of left out. I guess I'm doing something wrong, so I may just huddle inside the pig community here on LJ.
Also I gave myself a tagboard cut and it stings and itches, and I'm out of things to do and have to be here about two more hours to fill my damn time requirement. Richard wants me to do things with people after work, but I have a cage to clean and then I will probably snurgle with pigs and remind them that they are the most beautiful even if the internet is silly.
