In a totally unsurprising turn of events, a person that I thought was going to be my roommate -I spent 20 minutes talking to her mom on the phone basically making arrangements, I figured it was a done deal- bailed on me, and I'd already messed up some other roommate potentials, so that's great. I love how this always happens. I realize I need to just be firm and not look out for anyone but myself, but fuck it's really hard. Then again, maybe she read my email and thought I sounded horrible. So it's probably my fault.

In conclusion, I hate looking for roommates.

And asking for a raise went about as I expected. Which is to say, I got the exact same answer as last time, which involved the phrase "looking into it." Uh-huh.

But I did have a nice 4th of July involving friends and eatings and "Taboo." And I have my plane tickets to Otakon at last.
