Sargassum: the weed of deceit
Jul. 25th, 2009 10:08 amIt looks like it's going to be an outrageously beautiful day today, so of course I'll be inside, staring out the window longingly, possibly with my lip trembling slightly.
Or not, because we all know that given the opportunity to not be at work, I promptly fall asleep.

homoshiroi and spousebot met
infinityduck on Thursday. We made mapotofu and watched "The Found Footage Festival 3" and "The Last Cigarette." I do not yet know their judgment on boy as they proceeded to run away to Door County or something yesterday.
-There have been no more communications from
thievingjerk or whatever, although me saying that may potentially unleash some kind of tragic whiny fury on my poor gmail account.
-I've had Mad Men season 2 in my possession for almost TWO WEEKS and I HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO WATCH IT. This is the very definition of a travesty.
-My parents left for New Mexico on Wednesday, so if anyone wants to send them wishes of NOT BREAKING A LEG IN A CANYON, that would be much appreciated. Although it seems like the accidents occur every other year, so this might be an off season for them.
-I actually submitted (i.e., left a comment) a friend request to an ST writer whose awesome story I really liked and it's the first person in this accidental fandom of accidents that I've actually attempted to communicate with more than once and have some kind of interaction with and I'm worried I came off like a total freak which I undoubtedly did but I used to be so much better at this whole "meeting people online" before 98345938 fandoms (read: 2) broke my heart. So we'll see. I dunno if she'll even want to read my LJ. I yell a lot and am boring. Some of you may have noticed this, but you are not allowed to leave.
So tomorrow on one of my singular days off, I plan to hopefully finally clean out my car and then watch the hell out of Mad Men s2and if anyone interrupts I will KILL them. And possibly make myself a new LJ info graphic. I'm so ambitious.
Edit: I was totally going to put my mood as "good," then somebody came in and asked how much it was to rent a movie and walked out upon hearing it was $4.74. I'm sorry our prices are so outlandish! My god, it's like we're just bleeding the gold out of people.I kinda wish we did.

Date: 2009-07-25 05:09 pm (UTC)I'm so stupidly excited to have been friended back. Of course I read your "READ THIS FIRST" thing after I left you that hugely long comment so umm... you never have to read anything I say ever!
But shinyPine icon is so shiny and I'm so thrilled to see it here. :D

Date: 2009-07-27 02:39 pm (UTC)And I miss you terribly always, but I'm excited to see you for WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA week. We could even maybe go dumpster diving before Amy's wedding because that's a very romantic thing to do.

Date: 2009-08-01 02:34 pm (UTC)That's why I worked Friday before going to my grandma's funeral, too...I didn't have any vacation to take off so I flew out late in the afternoon and came back Sunday. It's a sucky time to have so much stuff going on. If I weren't a new employee I could get time off in summer no problem since the students aren't here.
