Since it is now officially March, and March is semi-magical, I have decided to jump on that wagon de la band and see if I can't do this 30 day meme. I know no one's holding their breath. :F

Day 01 → Your favorite song

And already we have difficulty because of course I have trouble picking a favorite song. Yeah this is gonna go really well. :F

Anyway, at the moment, I'm obsessed with the "This Bitter Earth," which is linked in this post, but if I have to choose one (and since everyone does this with a youtube link)...

"Lover, You Should've Come Over" by Jeff Buckley.

And to be honest the first time I heard it, I didn't care for it at all, but it grew on me and of course there is a related fic for it in my head (for Kenshin) and...I dunno. I think it's lovely and sexy and sad and beautiful and the words are so ridiculously excellent. If I need a favorite song, I think this is a good one.

And the song is very pretty. Kenshin fic? I'd love to hear your idea for it.

It was an idea I had back in college, and it was a modern AU that started several years after things had gone bad between Aoshi and Misao, and one day Aoshi gets a call from Kenshin who tells him that Okina is dead, and Kaoru has left him. There were more specifics at one point in time, but it was supposed to be about mistakes made in love and fixing the past and stuff. I dunno. It'll never get written, but I'm fond of it.

And I had to dig around on people's LJs to find it, and finally got a mostly complete list from thalialunacy. Day 1 is song, and here is the rest:
