HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY kleptoneko! And I know you know I didn't forget, cuz I totally told you happy birthday on the right day, but I didn't get to do it on my LJ and now I have so there. Someday you should come home, and I know it's been long enough that I probably shouldn't keep calling here home but dammit this is your home in my head and so it shall be. I can't believe how much you've grown up since we met, and I'm proud of you and I miss you and I love you. <3

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ignitethestars! We still don't know each other very well, but I'm always impressed by your openness of heart and feeling. I know things have been up and down for you recently and I hope that this year improves on that front - that it starts going up and keeps rising. I would always trust you with the loving care my injured moose. <3

And I'd blame spring for the fact that my nose is of course running forever and for eternity, but that happens all the time during every season now. I still blame my time in Virginia. I never had sinus issues or year-round allergies before living in Williamsburg.

What song are you currently addicted to?

Uh...to be honest? Not a one. I'm not kidding when I tell people how bad I've gotten at music. And also I was gone and am music-player less, so...uh....I dunno, still "Bitter Earth/On the Nature of Daylight" from the Shutter Island OST.

But the last song I listened to on loop was "Prisoner (Love Theme from 'The Eyes of Laura Mars')" by Barbara Streisand. Dun judge. :F

What books are you currently reading?

On the bus on my way to work in the morning, I've been reading "Elephants on Acid and Other Bizarre Experiments" by Alex Boese. yawmin sent it to me for my birthday. :)

I'm also reading "The Poisoner's Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York" by Deborah Blum. Because how could I not? It's about poison. And forensics.

What is the one skill you wish you had?

I wish I was better at looking for/finding jobs, and at motivating myself to do that. I wish I had some marketable skill other than retailism. :F

Sweet or Salty?

It depends on the moment, really. God knows I love sugar, but salt is also a dear friend of mine. The best is combinations like chocolate covered pretzels, or soda and fries.

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?

I am always obsessed with guinea pigs. And um, books on disease or medical history. Fandomwise, I'm still digging on Star Trek and Kirk/Bones and Sulu/my own ideas about his awesomeness, and the magical world I RP with jou. But I also am always in love with Aidanverse. It is a perpetual fandom of wonderfulness.

And watching X-Files. But that's like...more of a biological imperative at this point.

Cookies or Crackers?

Again, it depends on the day/time/whatever. Although if I'm offered cookies, I'm always hard-pressed to refuse.

What websites do you always forget to check when you go online?

I'm so bad at Facebook it's kind of sad. My cousins yell at me about it.

What was the last thing you bought?

Groceries, last night. Lots of pigfuds and general eatables for me.

What's one thing in your wardrobe you just could never part from?

My hoodies. How I love them, even though I should learn to dress better and look less like a bum. And so many of my t-shirts. My hats.

What's one band/musician that could drop off the face of the earth, and you would be happy?

Uh, I don't really think about these things. If I don't like a band, I just don't listen.

Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?

Soda. Oh god. So much soda. It's really getting bad. Also fries. And fuzzy piggy cuddles.

What do you do to change your mood?

Shouting helps. Sometimes I write it out on LJ. Lots of times I look at pictures of piggies. Or go to sleep. :F

What should you be doing right now?

My job. :F Cleaning DVDs and running subscriptions.

Uh, the closest thing is like...a bus schedule. And then a bunch of phonebooks. So I had to walk about 20 feet to get my own book.

"Why do you act like that? Don't you know how much it hurts her? Why are you being such a dumbass? Why can't you talk like a normal person and I know being apart is hard but seriously. Please. I'm not allowed to shake you but if I have to listen to my friend crying over an expensive international call again and not be able to help, I don't know how I'll keep from kicking down your door and shouting."

What are you looking forward to?

Today? Lunch with cecilmcgrlybts and going home at 4:30. Stupid work.

In the longer term: caffeaffogato coming home in two weeks and jou coming to visit. And OTAKON! OTAKOOON! I checked yesterday and there is not date interference with stupid job things and FUCK YEAH OTAKOOOOON.
