Last week at work was largely unterrible, and except for a man with a history of abusing the staff calling one of the clerks a racist for completely unfounded reasons, it was...you know, just a job. Which of course makes it even more like an abusive relationship, because when it's like this, I think "oh, it's not so bad," but sooner or later it's going to hit me again and I'll be miserable. Ugh.

Saturday I was very productive but today I haven't done much at all, just took laundry to my parents' house and wrote a thank you note to my uncle. I felt strangely sad for no reason, and spent a while playing a Japan-themed version of bejeweled. Then infinityduck made me spaghetti and we watched "River Monsters" with jou, until I had to pick up caffeaffogato's sister at the airport. And now I am home. And I feel okay. I just. I dunno. Someday it would be nice to be inspired again.

So anyway, I felt like doing a quietish meme, so I took this one from silver_miko:

Me! But also my computer, season 1 of "The Closer" in PAL format, two towels, two sweaters I need to hang up, blankie, my mink blanket, my wolverine, and the Mach 5.

Dude, closed, of course. I have a huge phobia of bathroom doors being opened on me.

Rarely, if ever.

Mostly on my side, I think. It varies.

I can be.

No.

I believe so.

Looking at LJ, watching "The Closer," eating a "Paris Brest" that I got yesterday.

Poke at the webs a little more and then go to bed.

Living together needs to come first in my book, to find out if we can be in the same place and not kill each other.

Yes.

No, because I don't drink beer. But I have de-labeled other people's.

I talk about them. Excessively.

Yeah. And some of them I'm going to try to fix, but the biggest was a very long time ago.

Turn off whichever horrible alarm is going off and listen to see if the pigs are annoyed yet.

Someday having another job! Uh...getting "House" for my own, soon.

That boring new-job thing, hopefully. My birthday, I guess. Seeing timbean again.

On vacation, or in a realm of not having to go to work tomorrow.

Uhh...I think it was around 11.

Yeah, but mostly for books and DVDs and knick-knacks and I can't afford those things right now.

I have no idea, I really do need to find out one of these days.

I don't think I'd mind being tied to most of my friends, honestly.

That I was named after whores/strippers. Except I don't think anyone ever spread that as a rumor, it's more of an ongoing joke. (No, Virginia, my great-grandmother was not a hooker.)

47. How do you feel about carrots?

I like them. I don't eat them nearly enough. Bad me. The pigs like them too, but they apparently have too much sugar, so they can't have them often.

48. How many chairs are at the dining room table?

At my apartment table, four. At my parents' house, six.

49. Which is the best Spice Girl?

Sporty Spice, obviously.

50. Do you know what time it is?

Christian Bale won the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for "The Fighter," and I'm very proud of him. He should have been nominated at least seven times over during his career, so I'm glad he's finally getting recognition. But dude needs to cut his hair.

Ooh, where did you get a Paris-Brest? I did not know they had such things in Madison.

At "La Baguette" on Mineral Point. It's actually not far from where your parents live/have lived, although I had honestly never been there until September. The staff there seems to mostly speak French too, I think you would approve. We'll go the next time you're in town. :)
