Motivation of any kind has been difficult for me lately, and I've been feeling just...generally kind of sad, which I guess I've mentioned in passing but tried to keep off of here as much as possible. I don't really know why, although I'm sure I can chalk it up to the usual job situation/depression/lack of anything special on the horizon front. This doesn't mean I'm desolate all the time, just...you know, bummed, and going to bed kind of early.
I did have a comforting long talk about these kinds of things with
infinityduck, and my cousin Rose wrote me a very sweet email about how counseling with our Uncle Sam (seriously, my uncle's name is Sam) is going for her; I think I'm going to look into it. We've never been very close, but hell, he's known me and my family all my life, after all. I think it'll be good.
Outside of my head, over the weekend Chris and I saw "The King's Speech," which was lovely, and particularly poignant for me because said boyfriend has a stammer of his own -not as bad as "the King's," and it's never stopped him from interacting with people- but it was moving to see it acted so well and dealt with in a kind, patient, and hopeful way. Not to mention that Colin Firth and Geoffery Rush are, outside of Mr. Bale, the men, respectively. Next up, "Black Swan."
And yesterday, I went out with my mom and got a new shower curtain (it's fabric!) and rug for my bathroom, which Danielle said makes it look "very sophisticated." Too bad about the rest of my apartment. :F
I came to work early today, and it's been blissfully quiet. It's supposed to snow like a million inches today, so in celebration, I give you this meme that everyone else has already done:
Name a fandom with which I am familiar and I will tell you:

Date: 2011-02-08 03:22 am (UTC)My M/M OTP: Uh...I think Roy/Havoc. But it might be a Roy/Riza/Havoc thing, I'm into that.
My F/F OTP: Asuka/Hikari if I had to, but they're just friends.
My endgame OTP: ALSUKA ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
My original OTP: In FMA, it was Elricest, and in Eva, Asuka/Shinji, although I was never a big Shinji fan so I wasn't entirely into it. She's always deserved someone better.
My crack OTP: Roy/Kaji would be RIDICULOUS.
My guilty pleasure OTP: Isn't Alsuka itself a guilty pleasure? THE GUILTIEST AND MOST PLEASURABLE OF ALL.
My anti-OTP: Still Roy/Ed, cuz I'm like that. Although really it's anything that would split Asuka and Al up.
