Fight Club: Now for girls!

So I have all these things I want to talk/possibly flail about, but at least one of them requires its own post or something and I'm easily distracted. Ergo, everyone gets a bullet-point list!
-I FINALLY SAW "BLACK SWAN." And it was absolutely amazing. It had
jou,
infinityduck and I all cringing into each other and going "wow" and now I desperately need to watch "Perfect Blue" again and wow. Just wow. Aronofsky is amazing and Natalie Portman has undone every wrong she ever did me. I loved it.
-Saturday was
purestlime's potluck birthday, so Team Monstrous made a fuckton of gyoza and then played a large number of increasingly violent games of "Spoons." Blood was drawn. Cheese fluffs were consumed.
-Yoga tonight made me think my legs were melting. Out of shape me is out of shape.
-PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA. OH MY GOD. I mentioned
caffeaffogato and I started watching this before I left for California, right? OH MY GOD. I know at least two people on my flist are also into it, so just...just hold my hand and say OH MY GOD with me. I spent more hours that I should have this weekend just reading the wiki about it. This is what's going to have it's own post because OH MY GOD.
-STOP! MEME TIME FROM
sharpwind. Anyone can feel free to do it if they so choose!
1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up.
A really obscene stack of DVDs that I need to put away, my still-living plant named Plant, no less than four Asukas, a lot of ST buttons I drew a year and a half ago wow, my leopard-print octopus.
2. How many times have you changed your hairstyle in the past five years?
Well I cut it very very short, but ever since then it's just been variations on that theme.
3. What are you wearing now?
My yoga clothes.
4. What's your occupation?
Video slave/whipping girl.
5. What do you hear right now?
X-FILES, BABY. HELL YEAH.
6. What's your favourite guilty pleasure treat?
Uhh...there are a lot, and they're not that guilty. But chocolate-covered nuts don't last long around me.
7. What are you thinking about right now?
Charlotte. The difficulties of fandom. The tragedy of Danielle moving out in August and the fact that I'll have to look for another roommate uuuguhhhhhhh.
8. Write the first word that comes to mind.
Zood.
9. Do you have any pets? Did you have any growing up?
WHO DEEZ PIGZ

My first guinea pig was named Fuzzball. He was succeeded by Sparky. Then, many years later, Oni. I also had a goldfish named Zen at one point, and several hermit crabs.
10. If you came across $2,000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
Honestly I would probably turn it in somewhere because I'd feel insanely guilty if I kept it. Hopefully no one would, and then I could have it for mine own.
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
Some exciting groceries at Trader Joe's, where I rarely go.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Since my usual location is currently somewhat out of commission, can I say at this point I'd save the money and maybe use it to relocate?
13. Where do you see yourself in five minutes?
Getting up to put in a different X-Files disc.
14. Last book you've read?
"The Raw Shark Texts," by Steven Hall. Jury is still out. Parts of it very profound, other parts...somehow vexing.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Rocking out with
timbean!
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
The harp.
17. What would you do for a Klondike bar?
Not much, honestly. I don't think I've ever had one.
18. What are you doing tomorrow?
Dragging myself out of bed to go to work and deal with the Tuesday morning crowd.
19. What are you looking forward to the most?
Charlotteparty! Someday getting my damn life together.
20. What scares you the most?
Never being able to be creative ever again.
-And on a somber note: In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it! Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer. 93% won't copy and paste this. Will you?
I knew/know 4.
Right, this entry is long and it's time for me to eat some organic cookies and put on more of the greatest show in the history of time. Peace y'allz.

Date: 2011-03-29 10:12 am (UTC)Black Swan totally fucked me up. I was having issues with one of my nails the other week and all I could picture was that scene in Black Swan askhjbgaksdb.

Date: 2011-03-29 03:39 pm (UTC)Also, the orange chunk of love is Nicky, and the sassy black and white is Olivia. :)
Oh man, we all cringed into a ball at that part. Hardcore stuff, yo. Aronofsky doesn't pull any punches.
peeeeeegz
Date: 2011-03-29 03:53 pm (UTC)The one in the foreground is Molly, the ginger one with the white head is Mandy, and the shy girl in the background is Milly. They're sisters!
Your piggies are so cute, seriously. We used to have a black and white pig (called Joey) who was ridiculously adorable.
Re: peeeeeegz
Date: 2011-03-29 03:59 pm (UTC)Olivia is kind of a jerk, honestly. Everything must be on her terms, and she pushes Nicky around sometimes, but the moment anything slightly scary happens, she goes running to hide under her. :F I love her for her eccentricities. <3

Date: 2011-03-29 04:01 pm (UTC)I secretly love it when animals are jerks. It's just so FUNNY.
Re: peeeeeegz
Date: 2011-03-29 04:19 pm (UTC)Olivia is a riot. She doesn't bite ever, but will chew on you if she's upset. And she makes the most amazing faces when given a bath.
4 year old ladies from pigbabies! That's so awesome! <3
