Holler, everybody, I can eat grains again. Yesterday I had such a scone. It was fantastic.

Now you get ye olde liste:

-As previously stated, sink_or_swim was here last week and it was awesome. We spent Thursday dragging her between various coffee shops, then watching the "Creeper Yelchin" episode of "Criminal Minds." Friday we drove down to Chicagoland area, hung out at Mitsuwa, then retrieved timbean from the Navy, and Saturday we hung out, then eventually made curry and watched "Kitchen Confidential," or as Tim called it "Sulu Chef's Cooking Bonanza." And then very very early Sunday morning, we went back to the airport and Dommi flew home, luckily without my pigs which I totally thought she might try to steal. :F It was so good to see her after so long and I wish it could have been for longer. ;_:

-jou, caffeaffogato and I finished "Madoka," and I admit to being a little "not sure if want...?" at the ending. I mean, it made sense, and there were things that were moving about it, but was it a happy end? Was it a sad end? I am confused and want my Charlotte!

-Speaking of Charlotte, everyone should start playing this and then look at the pictures

Aww, I felt the ending of Madoka was perfect. It was both happier than I expected, and much, much sadder. I love that kind of emotional ambiguity when it's clearly intentional-- I mean, for the sake of all those girls throughout time, it certainly is worthwhile to sacrifice ONE life to help them. And Madoka was definitely willing.

But her own fate was horrible in the sense of losing her parents' memory of her, and losing her ability to interact with the world... it really helps to make the viewer appreciate just how wonderful real life, in all of its mundanity, really is.

So I loved it.

(and PS lolol forever at the Sulu cup. I might do that forever next time I get a Solo cup)

Actually...everything you've said here makes me appreciate it more. I feel like I was just so under and overwhelmed simultaneously, and not sure what to do with everything. You're right about it being happy and very sad at the same time - and sometimes I have trouble with that.

It was so much fun hanging out with you in Madison, and getting to know Jo, Chris, Ellen, and Chenya! And I will return now that I know that flying into Dane County is negligible in terms of extra expense!

It was Passover, and since I don't usually keep kosher at all, I figure that for a week every year I may as well try to be kosher-ish. Even though I complain about it the whole time. :F

Kitchen Confidential is so fucking amazing and it influenced the hell out of my vision of Sulu. For uh...better or worse. The Cho does have some pretty crazy hair, but you get used to it. <3

The end confused me a lot. I didn't really understand what her wish resulted in- so does Charlotte die? Wouldn't she never have become a witch? So she'd still be alive? And Mami's alive, so your ship could work! Whereas mine- *wibble*- MINE CAN NEVER BEEEEEEEE.

I felt like maybe I should get wibbly, but honestly I was having a lot of trouble not coughing, so I was somewhat distracted by that.

I was confused too. And I think that it means like...if Charlotte started to become a witch, Madoka took her away. So she might still be alive! Or she might be alive in another timeline! I always kind of interpreted my pairing in other timeline senses anway.

BUT HOMUHOMU AND MADOKA WILL BE TOGETHER IN THE END. That is what I believe. They are together forever in magical space. ...does that help? <3?
