Ota Mogu Mogu
Aug. 2nd, 2011 11:32 pmI took my Charlotte doll to Otakon.
She was very popular. In fact, many people asked if she was for sale. No, she was not. Several people asked if they could just hug her. That was allowed.

In the Atlanta airport, Charlotte enjoys a Cookies and Cream Javakula, which she will probably never get again since they took away our Borders forever. Gaarg.

On Thursday morning, Charlotte wakes up in Maryland.

o/' "All my bags are packed, I'm ready to gooooo..." o/'

Ensign Charlotte navigates the way to Baltimore.

Having arrived, Charlotte surveys the territory. Camden Yards was directly to the left, but sadly, there was no opportunity to watch free baseball.

While referencing a Dylan Moran stand-up bit, Charlotte investigates just what Otakon has to offer.

There's a lot to do, so beauty sleep is essential.

Friday morning, Charlotte is ready to rock.

Set-up is aided by helping sleeves.

And then Charlotte wait in the Starbinx line.

...for a very long time.

But while waiting, she meets some elves. They were very magical.

And at last, the frappucino is attained.

An appropriate trinket is purchased from an arist in ye olde alley.

Charlotte observes herself being colored for a waiting patron.

A DOPPLEGANGER!!!! (Arrrgh it was such a cute costume!!)

At the end of the day, Charlotte seeks solace in Coke Zero for the energy to clean up.

Charlotte heads back to the hotel for the evening...

...and collapses.

But Saturday arrives apace, and it's time to head back to the convention center via the fabulous Hilton skyway!

After set-up, Charlotte visits the Marina.

And acquires delicious taro bubble tea.

Later in the day, Charlotte finally has time to investigate the dealer's room. There's not nearly enough Madoka merchandise.

But there are Madoka people! And so the greatest picture of all was taken.

Purchases are made.

Charlotte makes friends with Wee-Rex.

And by closing time, everything is a mess once again.

Charlotte would like to suggest that DOLLAR DOLLAR BILL Y'ALLZ.

And so Charlotte sleeps with all the money.

And
infinityduck. Charlotte, you total player. You did not even earn that money! Pink-hair doll, theef of man's hart! :F

It's Sunday morning, and there's a few more commissions left to finish!

Charlotte acquires the most appropriate of all pins.

Charlotte befriends another squishable.

At last the stage is struck, everything is packed away, and another Otakon comes to a close.

Charlotte bids goodbye to Baltimore.

Back in Milwaukee, Charlotte enjoys some courtesy "gourmet pretzels" while waiting for the luggage to arrive.

The drive home is pleasant and leisurely, no need for directions this time.

And finally, home and to bed.
The end! ♥

Adorable.
Also I liked having you guys across from us. It gave me a great opportunity to observe you in your natural habitat without compromising the results of my studies.
I anticipate my findings will be published in many science journals and textbooks.

There was indeed an Android squishable! I petted it and thought of you and Andy. But Chris already had his eye on Wee-Rex, so we went home with that. Although ironically, Chris then lost his Blackberry and now has an actual Android phone. So maybe there is one in our future.
Just a girl who likes sandwiches, I guess! She asked that it say "Submarine Engineer" too. I dunno, last year I drew a billion narwhals, I never know what people will ask for. :F

Date: 2011-08-04 04:03 am (UTC)Somehow I thought that there's a Star Trek prompt right there. A mission goes haywire; Scotty & Co. go head over heels to render their captain back into one piece.
Just when I heard the news that currently Blackberries aren't doing good in the market... oh boy. Andy sends his regards to Wee-Rex.
We need Submarine Chief Engineer Sandwich in the next Star Trek film!!!!!!!!

Date: 2011-08-04 04:13 am (UTC)"All the Kirk's horses and all the Kirk's men struggled to put him together again!" That could indeed be quite a fic. Or a drawing. Just sayin. :p
Well I've learned that Blackberries certainly don't do well on top of cars. Although it made it at least a mile, and only flew off when I hit 40 mph.
I would be excellent at that position, maybe Starfleet will hire me for it!
